My painting workshops are for adults at beginning and intermediate levels.  The workshops focus on painting from observation but also include aspects of color theory and 2-dimensional design.  We will work in my Roswell studio from still-life and, weather permitting, outside.   Both acrylics and oils will be used.   Sessions can also be scheduled for venues other than my studio.

About my teaching style:  I provide specific projects with guidelines, but within that structure, am flexible enough to allow for individual styles of working.  I want to help my students progress towards their own goals.  By including a little bit of color theory and design work, I lay a foundation for both color mixing and composition.   Some drawing experience is helpful, but not required.  Beginning painters won't find the sessions intimidating and those with more experience will be challanged. 

There is a 10 person limit (and a 5 person minimum).  Fees are $150.00 per 2-day workshop (does not include supplies).  Each student will bring their own materials and easil.  A supply list will be provided prior to the workshop. For more about me, see my artist statement and resume on this website.
